Hello, my name is Fong-Min.

And the story of Lin Liao begins with my own personal story. It began with my very specific desire of wanting to bridge two worlds together, to meet me exactly where I am, as a modern Chinese-American woman living between two cultures. I wanted jewelry that connected me to my Chinese heritage, yet that still embodied the contemporary, sculptural, and elegant forms I was naturally drawn to.

The name Lin Liao comes from my family names: Lin (林) and Liao (廖). This journey has been my coming home. It has become a way for me to return to my roots and to learn more deeply about where I come from, and my hope is to carry that history forward through intentional objects you can live and grow with.

Lin Liao is for anyone who connects to the beauty, symbolism, materials, and stories that live within these objects. I believe you do not have to be from the same culture to appreciate something with sincerity, curiosity, and most importantly, respect. I hope that from today onwards, each Lin Liao piece becomes a part of your own story. These are pieces crafted to be worn, cherished, and one day passed on to future generations.
